There is talk of us getting rid of people in the office, it's getting very quiet and i suspect i am for the chop.
No-one is saying, but they are trying to hint at everyone that we need to cut back. This is just like a tease. It doesn't actually let you know where you stand, it just makes you feel uneasy. I suspect my boss thinks it will keep us all on our toes, but i just feel insecure and less inclined to be interested in a job that might be on it's way out.
On one hand i would be happy to leave, i have been looking for something else anyway. I don't really like it here. But it pays the bills and when i think of the alternative it scares the pants off me.
Tomorrow i have a meeting with the boss himself but he wont say what it is about.
I think it is a bit of a shitty thing to do and just about describes the type of person he is. To tell me he wants to speak to me first thing in the morning and not say what it is about is his way of being a twat. For all i know it might be something or nothing, but he knows i will be up all night wondering what the hell it is he wants to talk to me about.
Bastard !

Why didn't you just ask him what it's about? Surely he isn't such an overgrown kid as to imagine he's scaring you and enjoying the fact?
I did ask him Vilges, and yes he is an overgrown kid.He can waffle like a politician and at the end of it you have not been given an answer one way or the other.
If i told you that we have to call him Mr.... and not by his first name then you get the idea. He runs the place as if he is the chairman of ICI and acts like a bank manager. No one likes him and i suspect he things everyone he employs is beneath him.
he sounds like an insecure prick who gets off on power trips. nonetheless, i hope that the meeting turns out well for you, although i'm not sure he sounds like the type that would set a meeting to compliment you on a job well done. fingers crossed.
and i should say that i really love all the pics that you've posted so far, especially the one when you were preparing to get sloshed for the night. :D
That is such a crappy thing to do, I hope things work out for you...
I hope it isn't bad news, but if it is, at least you are not getting it by text message.
Mr Ellipsis sounds a bit insecure, and possibly his only management training was from a book. Well, the only way he will learn how to manage people is if they give him a hard time! (And that's why he gets paid the big bucks ... so don't be easy on him).
Fingers crossed mate.
