1st time porn

Daniel once told me that when he was about 13 or14 he found his dads porn collection. Notice he used the phrase "dads" and not "parents".

Obviously he couldn't imagine his mother being interested in that sort of thing, in fact i can't actually imagine my mother being interested in that sort of thing ever.

It's weird how you can get it into your head that everyone in the world is fucking each other. But when it comes to family members a wall goes up. Anyway the reason i tell this story is because over the weekend he said he had seen the exact same film he saw when he was a kid. He said he thougth it was shit now thought. For some reason it wasn't as exciting. Besides there was a women in it and everyone was hairy. LOL.

I seem to remember the first time i saw a porno. I don't know how old i was, but far too young to be viewing that sort of thing for starters.  It was on a VHS that looked so old i'm surprised the tape didn't break in the machine. It was all very exciting. A bit like watching the Exorcist for the first time. I couldn't look away but knew i shouldn't be watching.
Then a guy came onto a womans face and i nearly threw up. Yeeeiuk !
How times change. LOL

Your initial reaction was pretty sound.

The first gay porn mag I ever found was in 1978, left by someone (who???)in the cubicle of a bog near the college bar. I went in there and glimpsed it, and later sneaked back to take it to my room concealed under my jumper like a suicide bomber's explosives. I was flabbergasted to find that there were other men who liked men as much as I did. I put the damn thing in a top cupboard for safe keeping and eventually disposed of it surreptitiously in a post-box. You would have thought it was a stash of heroin rather than a harmless source of release for young men's natural lust.

Your initial reaction was not pretty sound, it was the reaction of someone yet to acknowledge the power and beauty of sexual attraction. I felt terrible for days after my first ejaculation, and I place the blame squarely on Christianity for that - I had every right to feel proud.

I remember my first porn, the girl had really bad make up on and looked like she was on drugs, in retrospect.

I distinctly remember being attracted/turned on/interested in the male characters and well his cock.

I would have been about 10.

When I was in college there was a town about 25 miles away from campus that ran porn movies on main street. This was a small town in North Carolina. Everyone went to the movies. I was stunned. My favorite movies at the time was anything with John Holmes in it. Michael, not sure if you knew of him but he was quite the star. I watched HIM since I wasn't into the girls.. I still have about 30 of the old VHS movies in the attic, but don't have a VHS player anymore.

Interesting comments

Naturgesetz

I assume you're not keen on porn.

Vilges

I only stopped thinking of porn as a stash of heroin when i moved out of my parents. Now i forget myself and leave it laying around all over the place.

Mind of mine.

I agree about the women. When i was about 15 a guy gave me one with just lesbians in it....! YUK!

Drew

I have seen a John Holmes Video, He looked like a dog. In fact if there is one thing that stands out from the old straight porn films i have ever seen, it's that they all the guys looked like Dogs.

Michael, he was a dog but he brought his own pole vault to the olympics!!!

Right you are Michael. I guess my opinion is based on the idea that sex should be something personal between the participants. To do it on camera for an audience goes against that. To do it with someone who has been chosen by someone else for the purpose makes it all the more impersonal. To do it for money makes it prostitution. So it degrades the participants. I think it also degrades the viewers by having them consent to the personal degradation of the actors. It makes them indirect participants in the prostitution aspect of it. And it removes sex for them from the category of a meaningful interpersonal event to one in which the viewer reduces the actors to impersonal objects for the gratification of the viewer's lust. In all these ways, it disrespects the human dignity of the actors and demeans those who use it. JMO (but not only mine).

And all this has only to do with the"entertainment" side of it. It leaves aside the more basic questions of sexual morality regarding the activities themselves which are performed.

But then again you could take the view that sex is a contact sport. You don't need to be in love with a man to wrestle with them, although wrestling with him need not preclude loving him. And you can love someone without the slightest desire to wrestle with him. Watching professional wrestlers does not degrade you or them; you watch because you enjoy the performance, and they perform because they enjoy performing.

Now, now, play nicely boys, we're not gonna start another comments thread where people knock other peoples opinions are we ?. LOL

naturgesetz.
I see you as my moral guide, my conscience. I may seem to ignore it all but i do take note of your advice and opinions, they don't go in one ear and out of the other i promise.

Your the guy i wish i had met when i first came out. Been there, done that, and willing to pass it on. How to fuck without catching anything, which are the best drugs to take... etc LOL

Between the two of you i get both sides of the coin. You would both make wonderful gay parents.
I may start refering to you as Mom and Dad from now on.
Ha !

"Mom and Dad" — LOL I'll be Dad.

But seriously, thanks for the compliment about each of us making a wonderful gay parent. It's very gratifying to know that you think of me that way.

Well, best drug to take is red wine, and ignore all the rest. Sex and love are like fish and chips - associated only through relatively recent convention. Fine if you like them, but many more combinations are possible, and it would be a shame and a waste not to try them. My personal nine-point view of sexual morality is at the end of this post:

one day I'll sort out how to post links properly.
